About Nare Sushi

Introducing Nare Sushi Restaurant, I usually tell people it’s one of those low-key finds that quietly delivers a true taste of Japan right in Midtown Manhattan, tucked away at 875 3rd Ave, Lower Level, inside ATTO SUSHI, where the focus is clearly on craft, balance, and respecting tradition without feeling stiff or overly formal.
From the moment you hear about Nare Sushi, it comes across as an authentic Japanese restaurant that values simplicity and precision, and that vibe shows in how the menu is built, how the space feels, and how each dish is treated as something meant to be enjoyed slowly rather than rushed.
What makes Nare Sushi especially easy to love is how flexible it is for everyday life, because whether you’re stopping by for dine-in, grabbing a quick takeaway, or ordering delivery or no-contact delivery, the experience still feels thoughtful and consistent.
I often point out that Nare Sushi works well for people who care about what they eat, since the menu includes healthy options alongside organic dishes, making it a comfortable choice for anyone trying to eat clean without sacrificing flavor.
Another thing that stands out is how welcoming the offerings are, with clearly considered vegan options and vegetarian options that don’t feel like afterthoughts, which makes it simple to bring friends with different preferences and still have everyone leave satisfied.
The flavors at Nare Sushi lean clean and natural, letting quality ingredients speak for themselves, and that approach fits perfectly with the restaurant’s calm, authentic Japanese identity.
Location-wise, being set in New York, NY 10022 makes Nare Sushi an easy stop for locals, office workers, or visitors who want something reliable yet special without hunting through crowded streets.
Overall, when I introduce Nare Sushi, I describe it as a place that blends tradition, convenience, and mindful eating into one approachable sushi experience that feels genuine, relaxed, and refreshingly honest.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nare Sushi. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by an inviting and elegant ambiance that set the stage for a memorable dining experience. Food was great!! I ordered the omakase tasting menu. I think my only complaint it was the size of the pierce of fish, little small but delicious.

Great Experience. I went by myself without previous Reservation. Location is a bit hidden in a strange Hotel Entrance. Location nice but not overwhelming for NYC standards . The food though was great. I had a 5 course Menu including Omasake sushi fresh from the chef. It was one of the best sushi in a long time. Fish was of great Quality, creations very creative. Definitely worth a dinner. If you can you should sit at the counter. Less comfy chairs but more entertaining.

Lovely little spot. Appreciated the aesthetics and music even. Incredible service. Fresh lobster. Great social hour drinks and pricing.

Stopped in by chance and was not disappointed. Great service as they were helpful with explaining their sake choices. Sushi was tender and fresh. Highly recommend!

What a find this place is. I came about this building and was wondering how there was a restaurant in an office/residential luxury building. The space is very quaint and cozy, but had a unique staircase effect inside. I enjoyed a kaiseki dinner that was offered and some other dishes. All the fish and selections were fresh and delicious. Everything was beautifully plated. My favorite dishes had to be the fried scallops and the negitoro roll. I would definitely come back for an occasion, this place is definitely great for a peaceful date night, but they could use a little music inside to creat more of an ambiance. The last comment I have is that I wished the waitress would give me a little more time to enjoy one of the dishes. I was talking to my partner and it might have seem like I was done with my food. But otherwise, she was attentive to when I needed more tea or water. Overall, I enjoyed the freshness of my food and intimacy I got with my partner because of the peaceful environment of this restaurant.

Nestled within the walls of a luxury building lies a hidden gem. The cuisine is exceptional, especially their exquisite Kaiseki. I will most definitely be returning for more. Tucked away in a discreet location, Nare Sushi is my go-to restaurant, exuding a serene ambiance and offering exceptional cuisine. I recently visited with my friends, and the experience was nothing short of remarkable. The food is consistently outstanding, with the sushi omakase, miso soup, and Japanese fried chicken (Tatsuta age) being particular highlights. The fried chicken, in particular, is simply divine - it's easily one of the best I've ever tasted. If you've never had the pleasure of trying Tatsuta age, I highly recommend you do so. This restaurant is a true culinary haven, offering a harmonious blend of flavors and an atmosphere that is nothing short of heavenly.

Really like this place, missing one start as they take off the lunch special and the space is too tight sometimes Food is good, i like the noodle most. For appetizers the one with tofu is really good. If you have a big party over size of 6 you should make a reservation, as the space can be limited, especially for lunch time.
